LINE AND SHAPE
These two pictures are my personal favorite. I took them at a restaurant
IN SCHOOL PHOTOS
DODGE AND BURN
PATTERN AND TEXTURE
My favorite photo out of the 6 that I took has to be the one on the second column and first row. I was about 1 foot from the closest branch in the picture. When I took the photo I went underneath the bush and took the photo looking up at the sky so I could get good contrast between light and dark. This photo is not taken in the rule of thirds because there isn't supposed to be a focal point. I think this picture is an example of texture. It took me a few try's to get the detail in the leaves which I tried to emphasize in this photo.
In many of these photos I had to fix the overexposure in the background because they were taken outside.
POWERLINES AND PLAYGROUNDS
For this project I believe I used the rules of thirds in the fifth photo. I tried to put emphasis on the lines instead of the poles. I think I used emphasis the best on the fourth photo because I attempted to make the swing set pop out of the picture. The picture I feel has the best positive and negative space is the first photo. I believe this picture keeps your eye moving and engages the viewer. Again, I think the first photo leads the viewers eyes to the image. My favorite picture is the first one and I shows a proper exposure of black and white. I like the contrast between black and white with the positive and negative space.
